Col. Vijay Bhaskar, Managing Director
Vijay is from the Indian Army Corps of Engineers. He did his MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. Vijay has headed a logistics infrastructure SBU at Maytas and was the CEO of Coromandel Energy. He was Country Director-India for the Paris based Mlinda Foundation and Managing Director, Mlinda Sustainable Environment Private Limited. The flagship project involved rural electrification in ecologically sensitive and under-developed areas through renewable energy based mini-grids with a strong emphasis on rural economic development.
Sudeshna Mukherjee, Operations Director
Sudeshna did her Masters in Sociology and worked for over 20 years in international development organisations like CARE, CRS, DFID heading inclusive planning and project executions. Sudeshna was the Deputy Country Director of Mlinda Foundation from June 2011 to August 2021 and Director Operations in MSEPL from 2016 to August 2020. Sudeshna headed productive use of energy (PUE) and capacity building in rural electrification project in Gumla, Jharkhand. Her singular achievement has been to ensure over 21% growth in personal and entrepreneur incomes year-on-year in 40 villages with a low carbon footprint.
Rebecca Symington, Director
Rebecca Symington has been involved in the access to energy sector for close to 15 years. Since 2023 she is on the leadership team of the GET. Invest Finance Catalyst team, a European-funded programme providing transaction advisory services to over 150 renewable energy small and medium enterprises in sub-Saharan Africa, Pacific and Caribbean regions to access investments. Prior to this appointment, Rebecca oversaw access-to-energy programmes for the UK NGO Energy 4 Impact and US NGO Mercy Corps where she oversaw programmes related to clean cooking, energy for productive use and energy in humanitarian settings as well as advisory support for SMEs entering the markets of Sub-Saharan Africa. Rebecca also spent ten years as Director of a French foundation where she contributed to the programme which developed 40 mini-grids in rural West Bengal and Jharkhand. Prior to working in renewable energy, Rebecca had a career with UN agencies and non-governmental organisations working on international development and humanitarian emergencies in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and South East Asia.
Ms. Tiakala Ao, Director
Ms. Tiakala Ao served as Chief General Manager in the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and has been associated with diverse projects in the area of rural development implemented by NABARD. Holding a master’s degree in Geography, she brings with her over 30 years of experience as a Development Banker having worked in areas of microfinance, financial inclusion, farm and off-farm sector development, credit planning and infrastructure financing.
Arunava Roychoudhury, Finance Head
Arunava did his Masters in Commerce and has worked for over 14 years in the realm of training and enterprise building in leading organization. He headed pico-grid operations in the Sundarbans, West Bengal for four years. He incubated and headed successfully two end-to-end rural agri-businesses powered by mini grids, based out Jharkhand. He also innovated a repayments system involving loan repayments of joint liability groups over four blocks in the Sundarbans.
Abhishek Dey, Junior Manager – Accounts and Administration
Abhishek has B. Com degree with 15 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, taxation, compliance and reporting. Abhishek will be a key member of the Hamara Grid accounts and finance team. When he is not engrossed with number work, Abhishek enjoys playing table and sketching.
K. Karaiba, Accounts, Admin and Logistics Officer
Karaiba is an enthusiastic graduate from Manipur who prepares, tracks and organizes accounts and logistics related tasks in Mon office, Nagaland. He exudes positivity and looks forward to contribute to rural development of Nagaland. In his free time, Karaiba loves travelling and exploring exotic locales.
Rickranjan Pal, Regional Manager
Rickranjan is an Electrical Engineer and worked for over 4 years in the Gumla, Jharkhand. He is an expert on Solar Mini-grid installation. Also, He has hands-on experience in mini-grid operations, repair maintenance, and growth of productive use of energy.
Souradeep Datta, Assistant. Manager
Souradeep is an energetic electrical engineer with over 8 years’ experience in Operations and Maintenance (O&M) in the Telecom sector in North-East India. He will be coordinating key O&M and logistic activities for Hamara Grid’s expansion as well as oversee Project MIS.
Suvendu Paria, Assistant. Manager
Suvendu is a high energy electrical engineer from Brainware group of Institutions. He has over 8 years of hands-on experience on operating power transformers, diesel gensets, electrical utilities management and technical trouble shooting of electrical faults. He is a renewable energy enthusiast and is very keen to work in the mini grid ecosystem space. Suvendu will lead the new solar mini grid installations in Mon district, Nagaland. When Suvendu is not busy in solar mini grid work, he can be seeing playing volleyball with the village kids or trying out a new Konyak recipe in his kitchen!
Aniket Kumar Singh, Assistant. Manager
Aniket is an electrical engineer and has worked extensively on solar installations, electric motor and diesel genset maintenance works. He is very keen to work in the solar mini grid -based renewable energy space and wants to effectively contribute to the operations and maintenance of the operational mini grids in Mon district, Nagaland. Aniket is also an avid cricketer and loves listening to music.
Shangamba Bariamtak, Senior Cluster Manager
Shangamba is a science grad from St Joseph’s college and has worked for over a year on mini-grids in Nagaland. He excels in mini-grid operations, maintenance, and growth of productive use of energy.
Psalm Bariam, Cluster Manager
Psalm holds a diploma in Electrical engineering; He presently looks after all aspects of mini-grid operations, community relations, village level micro-enterprises and grid maintenance.
Yeangba Konyak, Cluster Manager
Yeangba holds a B.Tech in computer science from Kaziranga University.
A bright and enthusiastic engineer, he looks after all aspects of mini-grid operations, community relations, village level micro-enterprises and grid maintenance.
Shamwang Konyak, Assistant Logistics Officer
Shamwang has a flair for music and great culinary skills. He coaches young children in Math and English. He is responsible for logistics and maintenance of Hamara Grid assets at Mon, Nagaland.
Robert Vijay Xalxo, Project Officer
Robert is an ITI Electrical graduate with over 3 years of hands-on experience on mini grid operations, especially on distribution network maintenance. He is a key member of our Operations and Maintenance team. Robert is also a cricket and football enthusiast.
Panglem Konyak, Project Officer
Panglem is a young, enthusiastic graduate from Tizit , Mon district. He is very keen to learn and work on mini grid installations as well as operations and make a difference to how mini grid solutions impact rural communities. He will look after the Wakching division.
Moba H Konyak, Project Officer
Moba is a graduate from Nagaland University (Modern College, Kohima) and has played a proactive role in development of Mon villages in Nagaland. He has strong knowledge of local Konyak communities and excels in inclusive community engagement. Moba has developed deep expertise on mini grid installations through actual implementation work at the ground level. Mobah loves football and is a die-hard fan of Lionel Messi!
Soumya Jana, Junior Project Officer
Soumya is an electrical engineer from the Hoogly Institute of Technology, West Bengal. He has experience in electrical transmission and operations work. He is keen to work in the distributed renewable energy (DRE) space, with a particular focus on mini grid installations. He will be a key member of our mini grid installation team in Mon, Nagaland. Apart from his interest in DRE, Soumya is an avid cricketer and a keen photographer.
Himangshu Chetia , Analyst – Operations & Energy
Himangshu is a young electrical engineer from Tezpur University, Assam with experience on sub-stations. His work on solar mini grid data-analytics, data-driven project implementation will help inform management decision making. Himangshu loves to read and play basketball.
Shubham Kashyap , Deputy Manager
Shubham is a Ph.D with a Masters in Power Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology (BITS), Mesra, Ranchi. He is a motivated researcher with a key focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). He is working closely with team Hamara Grid on optimizing technical designs of solar mini grid systems, procurements and vendor management. Subham loves listening to music and playing cricket.
Hamsen Konyak , Junior Project Officer
Hamsen is an enthusiastic, young graduate from Aboi, Mon district and is working with Hamara team on solar mini grid installations, operations and maintenance of the mini grids, in the central Mon region. Hamsen loves football.
Aipa Konyak , Junior Project Officer
Aipa is a motivated graduate who hails from one of our operational villages, Changlang. He is keen to learn about renewable energy and has interned with the installation team at Changlangshu village. He is presently working on solar mini grid operations and maintenance, in the Yannu-Nokyan division in Lower Mon, Nagaland. Aipa loves cross-country hiking.
Yenwang Konyak , Junior Project Officer
Yenwang is an energetic and hands-on graduate from Lehnga village in Mon district. He started his journey in Hamara Grid interning with the mini grid installation team at Nokyan. At present, he is an integral part of the operations and maintenance team in Lower Mon division. Yenwang enjoys long bike rides.
Jintu Gogoi , Logistics Officer
Jintu is a young electrical engineer from Sonari, Assam. He is based out of Mon head office in Nagaland and looks after the logistics and inventory management in close coordination with the field. Jintu loves to travel to off-beat places.
Bushu Konyak , Junior Project Officer
Bushu is a motivated graduate who hails from one of our operational villages, Changlang in Mon. He has interned with the installation team at Lower Tiru village and will be working on operations and maintenance of mini grids in Central Mon and overseeing construction works of the upcoming Training Center at Totokchingnyu. Bushu is fond of architecture and designs and loves to build structures with his own hands.
BK Baansaba , Junior Project Officer
Baansaba in an energetic and motivated project officer who hails from the State of Manipur. He has been an integral part of the operations and maintenance team in Upper Mon. Baansaba loves doodling and listening to good music.
